I’m thrilled to have you here. Let me share my inspiring journey into entrepreneurship while embracing my present roles in life as a boss, wife, mother, sister and friend.

My earliest memory of my entrepreneurial journey started when I was just eight years old. After our family’s decadent feasts on Sunday afternoons, I couldn’t resist buying an excessive amount of sweets from the local shop. My mom wasn’t pleased and gave me an ultimatum: return the sweets or share them with my cousins. I saw an opportunity and decided to share in exchange for some pocket money. That taste of entrepreneurship ignited a passion within me.

From there, my entrepreneurial spirit blossomed. I established a weekly sweet shop after our family dinners, even venturing to the cash and carry for wholesale prices to increase my profits. Around that time I was experiementing with my style and hair. I stumbled into the world of hair styling, firstly on myself, then sister, then cousins, friends and aunties. Through dedication and practice, I turned my passion into a several businesses, which has flourished from over 30 years ago.

But my journey doesn’t stop there. I’m also the proud founder of the Curly By Nature Group, a collective where three distinct brands reside. Curly By Nature, trading since 2023, is a manifestation of my love for quality high performance natural hair care formulations are developed to empower individuals to easily embrace their curly beauty. Afro Curl Pros, a recent addition to the group, focuses on supporting service providers serving Afro and Curls market within the hair industry. Lastly, there’s my personal brand, Klerissa Mc, which encompasses my unique voice and experiences as an entrepreneur, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Within the Curly By Nature Group, we strive to foster a community of support, inspiration, and education. It’s a space where individuals can discover their authentic selves, celebrate their natural beauty, and find the resources they need to nurture their hair and personal growth. Together, we’re dedicated to empowering and uplifting each other through our shared experiences and collective knowledge.

This space is where I share snippets of life’s adventures, celebrating life, motherhood, personal growth, business lessons and everything in between. It’s a place where I can journal, express myself, and occasionally even rant! Though putting myself out there isn’t always easy, I do it for my people.
